Oran Ferrell, President
Mr. Ferrell has extensive experience in healthcare with more than 40 years managing hospital and clinic operations in both academic and not-for-profit health systems. He served the University of Texas Health Science Center in several administrative roles for more than 20 years and as the chief administrative officer of Trinity Clinic managing more than 300 providers for almost 15 years. He has a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Texas and a master of healthcare administration from Trinity University. His experience is built on a foundation of integrity and trust with clinical staff and providers alike. He promotes a culture of quality medical care providing by a compassionate team with the patient's best interests in mind.
Lori Gorenflo, RN, BSN, WCC, Nursing Supervisor
Mrs. Gorenflo has been with Genesis Home Care for more than15 years. She began her nursing career in several Dallas-Fort Worth hospitals providing patient care on Medical-Surgical units until a friend introduced her to home care. She started with Genesis HomeCare as a field nurse and transitioned to Patient Care Coordinator. After years of hard work and dedication, she was promoted to Supervising Nurse and also serves today as the alternate administrator. Lori's role is to supervise all work of home health employees assuring that all policies and procedures are followed and carried out appropriately and that best practice standards are utilized in the performance of clinical care while managing the organization's quality improvement program.
Lori received her bachelor of science in nursing from Harding University and is certified in wound care. Her passion is to serve others, from patients, to physicians and their staff, to clinicians in other healthcare settings, to our own team of clinicians at Genesis HomeCare. Lori has been married for more than 30 years and has two children who are married. She enjoys scrapbooking, reading, cooking and entertaining.
Kate Bynum, RN, BSN, MPA, Patient Care Coordinator, Athens/Jacksonville
Mrs. Bynum joined Genesis HomeCare as the Patient Care Coordinator for the Athens office in 2014. She started with Genesis in 2010 as a part time field nurse and was offered a leadership role in 2014. Kate started her career in the hospital setting in 1985 and has a proven history of leadership roles in the Tyler hospitals. She has experience in a variety of nursing specialties, but has focused the last 18 years in nursing leadership in both the hospital and community settings. Kate will be transitioning to Jacksonville in the summer of 2014 to assist in opening the newest location.
Kate earned her masters of science degree in public administration from Bellevue University in Omaha, Nebraska in 2007 and her bachelors of science degree in nursing in 1985 from the University of Texas at Tyler. She is married with two children. Her family is the joy of her day. Kate loves to travel and also enjoys cooking, quilting, and a variety of crafts.
Aaron Paul, Director of Business Development
Mr. Paul joined Genesis HomeCare as the Director of Business Development in March of 2014. He comes with more than 12 years of experience of building brand awareness as well as increasing sales and market share for some of the nation's well-established Fortune 500 companies. Aaron has been recognized for his success with several top honors including President Club awards for outstanding sales and growth. Aaron was raised in Tyler and recently moved back from the East Coast. Aaron earned is Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing in 2002 from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. His responsibilities for Genesis HomeCare include building brand awareness in the East Texas community, strengthening current relationships with doctors, nurses, medical assistants and case managers, as well as cultivating new relationships with clinics, doctors, and practice administrators. In his free time, Aaron enjoys playing golf, and is an avid hunter and fisherman.
